1. I believe that my artwork was successful because it was my first attempt at completing an acrylic landscape painting. My least favorite part of the painting is the trees because they lack detail and look sloppy. 2. If I were to do my water color painting over again I would attempt to create more deteil in the forground to create a more realistic painting as a whole. I would have taken more time on creating the mountains and water.

My theme for this project was watercolor landscape. The process of my project included a multi step layering of water colors. I began with light colors in the back and proceeded with darker colors on top. I decided to project an image of the milky way galaxy because I felt it to be unique to other water color paintings that I have seen. Aside from water colors I had to use white acrylic paint to demonstrate stars by flicking it on to the paper with a toothbrush. I am pleased with my artwork because I do not normally use water colors as a medium.
I was inspired by Caroline Vaughan (bottom) to create a black and white photograph that appears to be physically manipulated to give a rough, old appearance. My photograph was printed on canvas by painting a layer of clear paint on it then laying my image (printed on printer paper) on the canvas. The Image then dried over night where the next day I placed water on the paper and proceeded to rub the top layer of paper off of the canvas. I proceeded to gently rub the paper off until the reversed image appeared on the canvas. The edges of the pictures appear to look worn or even appears to be painted on to the canvas. Overall I am happy with the product I have created and will continue to use this process in the future..
I created my own unique art by using a method that involves capturing photographs at a specific exposure on my camera.
I did not use a source to create my artwork. |
